I requested this book on loan from the library because I was seeing it everywhere — it took around 3 months for the book to be available. I couldn’t put this book down once I started reading it and overall I had a good time reading it.

This is a book about what it means to be consumed with regrets and how we move on from them. Similar to the movie Everything Everywhere All at Once, this book asks the question: when you have lots of “potential,” how do you learn to come to terms with the fact life isn’t what you thought it would be? This is a very light story with a heavy subject matter and as a result some of the messages felt discordant to me, particularly at the end.

I liked this book overall, but thought EEAO handled this subject matter more accurately and with the weight it deserved.
