Notes
Rented the ebook version of this from the library after seeing it at a bookstore, but I’m heavily considering going back to buy it. The central argument of this book is that perfectionism is not an inherently bad thing — like most things, perfectionism can help you (adaptive) or hurt you (maladaptive). Transitioning from maladaptive perfectionism to adaptive perfectionism is done through self-acceptance and letting go of black-and-white thinking. Don’t focus on the outcome and focus more on the process of doing. This book resonated hard for me but there are sections of this book that would be applicable to anyone.
